You do just move them from side to side... But because of the holes in the bottom the eggs roll.

OH, okay - NOW I get it, Keith! When you were telling me about this the other day, I had a hard time visualizing it. You're right - sometimes the simplest ideas are the best! Thanks for posting a pic.

Thanks for posting. I had been wondering if something this shape would work. I had been thinking about modifying ice cube trays, and even wondering if plastic trellis would be tall enough to roll the eggs. It's nice to see that this worked for you and would be worth a go for me.

Cool! I've been trying to figure out how to easily build that sort of design for quite a while now and kept coming up empty, the things I cobbled together were too weebly. Your version is very clever! I may try that for my next hatch!

Thanks for posting this,

OMG this is an awesome idea! I can picture how it would work, and since I have those craft trays for my blades I am going to try it. You can pick up these trays at walmart for like 3 dollars!

Here's an explanation of how it works from the Brinsea incubation handbook:

What I want to know is: how often to roll the eggs to ensure that they turn enough? 3x day would not be enough because the eggs might roll so they orient the same way they were in the first place.
