I thought I would document my little project. I have a homogenous celadon flock and I decided to add some color. I ordered snowie eggs, none were celadon and I’ll use this thread to document my progress.

also, I’ll update on the 3 albinos from the snowie hatch.

Here are some pics of the chicks at just over 2 weeks old:
A group pic of many of them, there are 22 chicks, 3 albinos, 1 falb fee, 8 silver pearl, and the rest are pearls. There are 2 or 3 who are peach and black, you can see one in the bottom right of the pic.

So watching this project unfold :pop maybe one day u will breed a black color to the celedons like a pure black

The chicks look like they are coming along steady, great work!
The albinos have ragged looking feathers, giving them a more fluffy look, it’s very cute, but I think in my climate they probably can’t survive outside. I’m throwing together ideas for indoor housing, luckily I think they’re all very small. I know birds with poorly formed feathers often have immune issues, probably related to not being as well insulated, so I may keep giving them supplements for the rest of their lives. As long as they aren’t crowing like crazy I’ll try to accommodate them indoors, they remind me of the 3 blind mice from the shrek movies.
