Loren's showmanship hen died today. I believe she was egg bound. It was too late when I found her and started treating her. She was a light brown dutch. Loren was planning on useing her at the youth fair this weekend. Now he has no bird for Showmanship. The showmanship birds at this show must also be entered in the breed classes. We don't have a back up hen for him to use. RIP Rosie. You were a good hen.

sorry. I hope your son will be okay. I got rather attached at that age. Some people understood it, most did not.

to you all.

I called the show superintendent and he said that Loren could show a different bird for showmanship even if it was not entered in the breed classes. So we are going to bring his 8 y/o Serama Rooster, Sarge. He is am old pro at showmanship and stays nice and quiet. I just hope he does not keel over until after Sunday. Is is an old guy after all.

I will. I hope he does well. He usually does but the last show was kind of screwed up and he did not do as well as normal. He lost some of his confidence. So we have been going over as much Showmanship info as we can for the past few weeks to try and get him ready for this show.
