Hi all! I have referenced this community many times already and have finally decided to join. I am a first-time chicken keeper and got my first flock in the spring of this year, with four chickens total. They are:

• Midnight Majesty Maran
• Speckled Sussex
• Blue-laced Gold Wyandotte
• Sapphire Gem

My girls give me so much joy and peace! They run up to me whenever they see me, want to scratch or preen near me, and generally make fun little sounds. I am usually an indoor person (I like to read or play Animal Crossing) but the girls have me outside almost every single day. It's been a great way to get sunshine and enjoy the weather.
