My Sussex hen is a bully :(

Not sure what the deal is. My sussex hen is obviously head of the coop. I don't think anyone challenges that. Esp. not my little banty girls. But today I find her chasing the 2 girls and the banty roo around the coop picking out their tail feathers. She even went after the Sussex roo!

I've not really seen her act this aggressive before. I specifically wanted Sussex because I read they are supposed to be docile and sweet.

If she continues to pick at them till they start going bare should I separate her from the others?

I would , but that may be just me. Whenever I want a special trait whether it is disposition, egg color, or whatever,I am pretty ruthless about moving along the ones that do not meet standard.

Well, I might know why the Sussex was moody they other day! She laid her first egg about an hour ago!

Seems like my little banty roos efforts at wooing worked!
