My Swedish ducks compared to the Standard

The black one is from the first hatch and the blue one is from the second hatch two weeks later. From the second I got four blues but three were drakes. The one duck was quite nice (really good type) but bib too small and no white flights (I'm only keeping birds with white flights). I sold her with one of her brothers, just as pets.

Overall, this blue one was the best. He's in my avatar as a two day old.

Thanks for the nice words, Evelle

I put these in the main Swedish thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=583576&p=1 but thought I'd add them here too.

Out of the eggs I hatched in October I kept two birds.

A black duck from LaPerouse and Marco Polo:

And a blue drake from Magellan and Tasman:

The black duck is the better of the two. I am pretty pleased with her. The blue drake's main asset is being blue, so I can show him, but his bib could be a lot better (it's a bit wobbly when seen from the other side). He is well laced though and has hardly any white under his chin. He doesn't have much black on him, which is good. He has white flight feathers but uneven numbers - five on one wing and two on the other. Oh well

He is a confident, quiet boy so that will be good from a show/handling perspective. He is moulting at the moment (not in these photos though) but I'll get some better pics when he's finished.
My drakes are Blues and my ducks are Blues and Blacks. My Black Swedish just hatched a clutch of 11, but 3 ducklings are pure yellow! Can you explain that for me?

:welcome @70%cocoa hasn't been on BYC since 2014.
Could it be possible you have 3 silver Swedish ducklings? maybe @cheezenkwackers would know color genetics
