My sweet girl alone at home

My baby is having to stay in her kennel in my walk in closet bc of her leg surgery. I feel bad bc she's gonna have to be alone for however long the vet says. I tried getting her out of there and letting her lay on me while I watched a movie but she pooped on me sooo... can't do that anymore. Should I go get her mate and put him in there with her?

If possible, I would place her dog crate in the coop or run with the other chicken. What type of surgery did your chicken have? You will want to keep flies away from her wound. Usually neosporin ointment will help.

She broke her leg and she had pins put in. I'm in Louisiana and it's getting really hot here during the day so I was afraid to put her outside.

Well, you could bring the other chicken inside, but keep them separated while still seeing each other when you are not supervising them.
