I'm so sorry for your loss! I think they do get depressed myself, I put Red in the pen with the Banty hens because her back in torn up. She just sits there staring at Blue and the other 3 ladies and she stopped laying too. As long as she's eating and ok in that way I'll leave her there, if she stops eating I'll put her back out with the others.
