My turkey had been sick for a bit but I was able to help him right away. He first was always laying around and breathing through his mouth and his stool wasn't normal, i figured he had worms so as i was looking for some ways i could try to get rid of the worms i found putting garlic or cilantro in their water helps get rid of worms, and he did perk up a lot more and is able to walk how he use to but it seems his breathing didn't improve.
I would describe his breathing as a raspy gasping sound, his mouth open and his eyes closed as if he's trying to keep breathing as best he could. Ive tried to find out through the internet what was wrong with him but I couldn't find anything with these symptoms. Does anyone know what it could be?

I am guessing that you have a broad breasted turkey. It sounds like he is having congestive heart failure.

BTW, neither cilantro, garlic or pumpkins will get rid of worms. Garlic can actually be harmful to poultry.
