I Am at home in Georgia
I bought three slate blue turkeys @ one month old. Two died b/c they refused to eat. I could not bare to burry another so I let my son take it off into the woods to let it go. My son came back and the turkey did too. Christmas(the turkey) ran into my flock of chikens and joined them. He started eating and drinking and has grown over the past three months very well. He is even been accepted bye the flock.

My question is does any foresee any proablems with letting them live together other than disease?

Also I belive he is a Tom his throat changes colors from a pale color to a red at times. what does that indicate?

P.s. he has always refused eating out of my hands any help would be appreciated.

a lot of people on here have no problems raising turkeys with chickens...but before they tell you the good side I'll tell you a very bad experience we had with having turkey chicks with chicken chicks...

our tom chick tried mating with many of the young chick chickens, killing them by crushign them, after he crushed them to death, he pecked out their eyes and just pecked thier bodies in general...he never changed his ways even as an adult the chickens were terrified of him.

I would be to If I were a chicken.

I wonder what the babies would look like from thet pairing?

I was going to say that be worried if the tom tries to mate with your chickens because it can kill them. Now that you know that, you might think of finding a processor to eat that tom rather than lose your flock.

Either that, or get more turkeys.
