my turkey was killed

I have had 2 pet turkeys for about 2 yrs and the female was killed this morning by a dog. My son ad i are heartbroke. I want a new turkey female..but im not sure how to go about introducing the new small female to that huge tom of mine. Will he crush her??? any advice on this?

I don't really know 'cause I don't have turkeys but wanted to say so sorry for the loss of your pet!

You will need to keep them separated until the female is large enough to defend herself.
