I have a turkey who has always been super friendly. this week though...twice when i go into the pen he or she I'm not sure what it is yet runs at me and if i try to walk, runs with me … not pecking me or trying to hurt me but making me uneasy to be in the pen so i leave. it seems that the turkey wants out of the pen. I'm not sure. this is my first time raising any type of farm animals. i have 5 ducks and 2 bantam chickens that are in the pen with him/her as well. Can someone please help me understand what is going on?

You don't give the turkey's age but looks to be a female. The young turkey is probably just being curious, friendly, and wanting a handout.
With my flock the only aggressors are the adult toms and only when they feel threatened. One thing you don't want to do is hit or kick at a turkey (unless it's attacking). To do so is an invitation to the turkey to fight and fight they will. My toms are very friendly with me. The midget white will follow me until I pick him up.

The royal palm does the same but wants his head and neck rubbed. While all my turkeys are friendly with me they will attack those that get uncomfortable having a turkey close and kick out at them. My yard is fenced to protect the birds and people who are not knowledgeable about turkey behavior.
