What I would add to the first aid kit is Epsom salts, Dawn dishwashing liquid, Vaseline, coconut oil, vet wrap, nutridrench, a plastic bin for soaking, cloth towels, paper towels, surgical type gloves, triple antibiotic cream without pain killer and a small container of baby aspirin.

Once they are outside they’ll find their own grit as long as they have access to ground. In winter if you have snow and ice you might want to offer grit then.

Lucky I live in the north bay area in California . It only snows once every 50 years . But we pay for the good weather and put up with some bad politics.

I just went through compiling a list with someone with a very sick chicken. No worries. If I think of something else I’ll add it. As you can probably tell I’ve done some vent cleaning.

Also to add to the list, plain saline like for contact lenses to flush eyes and wounds. Ophthalmic eye ointment for animals. I can’t remember the exact name but maybe someone else will. It’s over the counter.
