I am new at this so I cannot claim to be a expert. But would like to exersize my right by opinion. I researched online everything on feeding turks, and feeding turks that are hesitant eating their feed. I have seen on not one, disturbingly, many sites from novice individuals to say experts advising people to pour egg over their feed to giving egg shells to their young turks. I would feel that this would set mind in turks egg as food therfore having toms going around breaking eggs open from the hens nest to feed from, or worse hens doing so also. Anyone elses thoughts on the subject?
All I can say I will pass introducing to my turks egg as a food item for them to feast.

Good opinion if people were giving raw eggs to their chooks or any birds.

I have for 40 yrs given cooked scrambled eggs to every flock we've had (from day 3 olds to death) and it has not produced any wild eyed cannibals running around gobbling eggs as they drop.

We do not give egg shells, as we provide calcium in other methods.

I agree with you on the raw. Once you get an eater in your flock it is impossible to get them to stop, so better to never start. We remove all cracked or broken eggs in the laying boxes as soon as we can find them and that helps prevent issues. Good call on your part.
