My very first rooster - what is it?

Good morning,
I adopted this very interesting looking rooster yesterday from a friend. Her husband took him and some hens on trade about a month and a half ago. My friend says that he is young, starting to get his spurs and getting more feathers. However, he is enormous! I have never had a rooster and my only experience with them is seeing them in all their glory at county fairs.

Can anyone tell what breed he is? Does he look like he's been picked on or is he just getting more feathers?

He looks like an American Game or another similar type of game fowl to me....but missing a lot of feathers.

Some kind of game chicken would be my guess upon his stance and build. I'm terrible at rooster breeds tho.

Looks like he's carrying some Asil genes. Hopefully someone will be along to identify him correctly.

My first thought was Shamo, but like I said I'm awful at roosters.

The tall one looks to be asil or shamo. Ask on the game threads. Do you really want a rooster that dwarfs your hens?
