Seeing as how you forced me to have more chickens,Da any of you have any idea on what chicks will be what color? They're supposed to be silver pencilled, lemon pencilled and gold pencilled...
I looked up the pictures of these beauties full grown. I expect that the coloring of the chicks will become the final colors of the grown hens/roosters. The black and white seem to be the same, and then there are the lighter colors, maybe the lemon, and the gold being the beautiful bronzy color. The pencilling with black on the breast through the back and onto the tail but the solid color on the head, neck and part of the breast. Gorgeous chickens, nice choice!According to Wiki, as they are 'barred' these may be auto sexing in which case the ones with the brown spot on the head may be roosters.I think it's difficult since some af the black and white seem to have a brown spot on their head and others do not...
Also according to Wiki, there are only two colors, silver and gold, so the lemon may be a dilution somewhere along the way. One of the rarest breeds though.
Good luck with your chamois color project, they sound beautiful.
