My very mean drake

A much pleasant morning. Of course Pinocchio (my male duck) tried to bite me as usual. I did what someone mentioned and grabbed him and turned him over on his back. He really did not give me much resistance and was calm almost as soon as I flipped him. I told him no in a very stern voice, then let him up. He came back at me again and I repeated. After the third time he went about his way and did not bother me. I was able to collect the egg (I need to explain to my goose that its not her egg now, lol) and clean the pen and pond. I did not get bit once. I will continue on through out the days with this technique. I hope he gets the point Thank you all again.

That is very exciting news! Sounds like you're already on your way to a more docile drake in a very short time. Sometimes animals just have to be shown who's boss. I've found that far more common in male animals of all types than in females.
