My weirdo chickens refuse to go to bedšŸ™„

My rooster would lose his ever loving mind if a girl was out after dark lol. One of the girls didn’t want to jump down from a roost in the run last night (Barbara, and I’m not surprised, she’s special) anyway, he was under her raising cain, she finally jumped down and he got her fluff butt in the coop so fast it happened before I could blink.

I’ve never seen it before in my flock. Looking forward to reading what other folks have to say, I assume has to be too much light, enough that they see. Is the coop close to the house? Light from the windows and not exterior? Any outdoor lights?

No the coop is a ways from the house and they walk all over in the dark too, although my rooster has been….ill(?) For the last few months-he gets sickly where he can’t walk properly and then gets better and then can’t walk again but he eats and has energy just can’t support himself it seems, it’s strange, so anyway, I suppose it could be that he is not herding them in properly at night.

I’m at a loss chickens cannot see at all in the dark, so unless you have vampire chickens light is coming from somewhere.
