My yard is full of fleas.

We are also flea central here and i used food grade DE in all carpeted areas and under the couch cushions , dusted it at all doorways and rubbed it on the dogs too. Washed all our bedding (again) and vacuumed..then redid it 2 weeks later. 3 months of buying and trying expensive flea control stuff for our 2 dogs did nothing. DE did the trick PLUS killed fire ants in our back yard and the roaches in the pantry. I still have a couple of smaller / new fire ant mounds to get to but it has been raining off and on all week now and it only works when it is dry.

Be careful of Boric acid and Borax make sure its OK to spread out where the animals can have access to it. Read the instructions before applying.

I use agricultural lime worked great in my old horse barn when we had an outbreak because of all the sand that was in there.

You do need to treat yard animals and house at the same time. I use vet-chem products and then go back with the frontline a few days later. And yes you will ALWAYS have flee's. An egg can last up to three years! They do not live on the animal, but in the soil and in the cracks and in the wood work.

When I had bugs in the barn I used a spray and added a growth regulator that I got at the feed store. I think it keeps the eggs for growing any way it works good, Might check into that.
