10/5/13 update:

Our little rooster has been on the suggested rickets diet for nearly a week now. It is hard to tell if he is feeling better, but being the optimist that I am it seems he is moving a little better and standing tall more often. His appetite is still strong, so hopefully the diet will help him continue to feel better.

The de-miting seems to have gone smoothly since I haven't noticed any more on him. I know that has to make him feel better.
