I'm pretty sure one of my hens has mycoplasma gallisepticum. I didn't realize what it was 2 years ago when I first noticed the bubble eyes and then swelling over the eye. I just assumed it was allergies, or an eye infection. I treated it with eye ointment antibiotics and she was better. But she started with the bubbles and swelling again a few months ago. I separated her and treated her eye and about a week she was better. Well yesterday I noticed her shaking her head alot, and she was salivating a lot and one of her nostrils was blocked up. She was making smacking sounds with her mouth too. I got her face cleaned and helped unstop her nose. But she feels like she has lost weight and her face has been kind of pale lately. I also have 5 week old babies that I have been introducing daily to my adult hens for about a week now. They are in s separate pen inside the run. But now that I know what this is I don't know what to do. From what I have read, more than likely my whole flock is already carriers of MG. I'm scared that I have now exposed my babies. I have no where else to separate my sick hen to because my babies are in the extra pen. Can I treat the whole flock? What do I treat with and how? Do I have to euthanize my sick hen? The whole flock? I dont want to have to do that, I love my girl! I'm so worried and don't want this mess to run rampant threw my flock. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have an MG flock. It can be managed. Get some Tylan to start. It’s found at at farm supply store.

@lynnielynd I just noticed my 7 month old polish cross has bubbles in her eyes. I just whipped it out. Is MG contajust? She is qularentined for now, should I let it run it course, is there an organic way to get rid of it?
