1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
This is the start of my second year I started with 120 eggs hatched 87 and doing second batch of 125 eggs.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 47 birds (lost a 2 to predators, several to rooster fighting and the rest went to the freezer), with 125 in the incubator
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Buff Orpintons and Jersey Giants, with Lavender Orpinton and Light Brahmas in the incubator.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching them, hand feeding them and let's face it the eggs and meat are a nice bonus.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Building things, crocheting, knitting
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Mom of 10, 9 still st home. We have 3-4 cats (1 wonders in and out). We have been on our current property for just over a year and it was in pretty bad shape so I still fixing things while trying to add new hobbies. I want learn all about canning this year add raised beds (to help keep chickens out and numerous rabbits that ate everything I tried to grow last year) to the list of to dos. We just processed 20 birds so I am learning all about that. I do own my own handy lady/ landscaping business I started to teach our children life lessons and help them prepare for their future saving money.

I find it in my search results every time I ask a new question and finally thought I just need to join so I can learn more.
