If your birds free range, they will be exposed to wild birds. Feeders or waterers will be visited by wild birds. I could never confine my chickens to a run, but that it about the only way to keep wild birds out. You have to use 1/2 hardware cloth wire to cover your entire coop and run as well, since smaller birds can get through chicken wire.
Tylosin (Tylan,) Denagard, Tetracycline, Doxycyclene, and Baytril are all drugs that can treat symptoms of MG. Nothing will cure the disease or keep them from being carriers, but they may be free from symptoms after suffering an outbreak. The can suffer relapses whenever they are atressed.
If I had sick dogs, I would use an antibiotic. But I would keep a closed flock until all of those birds are gone.
