I have chicks hatching as we speak, I have a Fiji bottle I’m going to turn into a chick waterer, so I will try them with that alone and see how it goes. Thank you!

The Fiji bottle didn’t work out, but I have a pickle container I used instead

So far there’s 5! I started with 15, I went into lockdown with 14, and one looked like a late quitter. But I left it in, so far only 3 haven’t pipped, but 2 aren’t in good view so I’m not sure.

I woke up with 11, I’m helping one hatch now, 2 were poorly positioned and passed overnight without zipping properly, I caught the third in time to help, and he’s hatching bit by bit. After I moved the chicks to the brooder, one passed for unknown reasons, this happened with one last time too. Since I woke up to them, I have no idea if he was struggling or normal previously.

I was too scared to put just the nipple waterer, mine is a bit different than yours, I was so afraid of them not being able to do it. So I put both. In a couple days I’ll try removing the bowl waterer.

That looks like a rent a coop model, also that's the brand floorcandy suggested to me.

As far as I know it helps to keep the chicks from climbing on too and covering it in feces.
