thanks for the info. My gal was a hatchery cuckcoo marans. She was a good sized gal that I got a couple years ago from someone moving to the city. She hadn't laid an egg in quite a while and there was almost no blood when I cut her neck, so she was near death.
I've got eggs ready to hatch in another week... the circle of life.
