Mysterious drop of blood ):

I was outside with two of my week old chickies. They fell asleep on my shirt. After a while a brought them back inside- but when I did I noticed something wet on my shirt. At first I thought it might just be a little chickie poo, but when I wiped it off, I realized that it was actually blood. I searched both babies very carefully- no broken toes, no cuts, their chickie butts are clean. I'm certainly not bleeding- and the blood on my shirt was in a perfect little droplet, meaning it couldn't have fallen from a distance, or it would have splattered, ick.
Anyway, where could it have come from? Should I be worried?

Was it too large to have been a smushed mosquito??? You might just watch them to make sure there are no other symptoms of anything. Sounds like maybe it was just a fluke. There's just so many things it could have been............ just watch them. I'm sure it was probably nothing

Aha! Good news. I took another look at Bee Johnson, and discovered that she was simply missing one of her "talons", or baby talons anyway. She seemss fine, it looks like it's healing up pretty well. there's no blood or scab or anything, I guess that's why I missed it before

I'm just glad she's not bleeding to death
