i think this one came out of the press to soon! some of the shell is missing and none of the pigment is on the egg. this was the first time she has done this so i am not to concerned. (i only have one hen) just thought i would share. :)
edit: shucks i just dropped the egg. now i cant show all my family:rolleyes::gig

hahaha. i have 1.5% calcium feed plus i give them egg shell from time to time. i try to stay on top of the treats and nutrition.
at first it looked like a celadon egg (i was excited and baffled) but then i flipped it over and i was like... oh.. :rolleyes:
If your feed is only 1.5% calcium, you should have eggshell or some other calcium source on the side available at all times. Layer feed is usually around 3.5% calcium.
 
umm, i am starting to get a little worried.
i found this a second ago. i don't know if it was layed today or not..
but she hasnt missed a laying day in a couple weeks.. all of which have been normal.
