Hey All hope we are having a lovely Monday night. As my girls head into the coop for the night I am left puzzled by 2 of our newest members we've have for a few weeks now. And I cannot tell if it's sibling rivalry or what but these 2 assumed pullets will flare their neck feathers out at each other and kick one another like a roo. The black one I for sure think is a hen but this white one has me thinking I make have been roo'ed. I think they are around 4-5 months old. They didn't know when I got them. I appreciate any help or info i receive ♡

This one is a cockerel
Thank you. My husband keeps holding out hoping it is a hen (this Is the only one he picked out) but I've had a feeling for a bit. We have an established adult buff brahma roo and unless they can cohabitate as yard roosters he may have to be rehomed as we aren't looking to have chicks at this time. He's gonna be a nice looking roo though. Thank you again ♡

You’re welcome!! And they might possibly get along. I’ve had multiple roosters before. It just depends on the individuals. Some are fine, some hate each other.

Both are cockerels.

Light one is definitely a cockerel, dark one I'd give a few more weeks but I'm leaning towards cockerel as well

I grabbed a few updated pics now that today they trusted me to get alot closer. I'm still thinking myself now so with the combs that blonde is definitely roo and I think my black one might still be a hen but time will tell... I'm still waiting for audible confirmation haha
