Dona Worry
Crowing
So about 2 weeks ago I got 4 basement bargain barred rocks from TSC, and since the minimum chick purchase in my state is 6, I picked 1 each from the other 2 bins: "assorted bantams", and "black sex links"
Now. The white chick was easily twice the size of the other bantams, and the only white chick. The black chick was unremarkable, but now is developing these yellow markings, which I've never seen on my other black sex links-- I've had several over the years. They are pretty similar in size. White chick is slightly smaller, but is also much wilder and "tucked in" I these pictures. Has some light buff coloring coming in. What have I got here? As labeled, or mystery chicks? They are approximately 3 weeks old.
