Hatched out some Cochin bantams May 30th. Wondering what I ended up with color wise?
I was told they could be Partridge Cochin bantams. But I’m not sure what I ended up hatching?

It might be a Barred Cochin bantam, but that head is just wierd for me as Barred Cochin bantams have black head as chicks.

ya, definitely not a barred. I am leaning toward silver penciled, but that was not any of the hens the lady had… guess I learned not to get eggs for hatching locally if I want specific colors.

The dark legs have me questioning whether it is a pure Cochin. Yellow legs are standard. The color pattern is also not one often found in Cochins. I think you may have a mix on your hands. It's very pretty, though, and I'm guessing it is female based on coloring.
