Mystery Bantam!

Was in the Bantam Bin at TSC, so could be anything! Silkie mix??? Have ruled out Faverolle and most other feathered leg chickens. Any ideas about 4 weeks old.

That’s what I was thinking too. But silkies have black skin and black beaks and legs, and this little
One doesn’t. But I am thinking it could be Silkie mix. About the only thing it looks like.

It's a hatchery quality silkie. They have flaws.

White skinned silkies exist too.

That makes sense! Hopefully it’s a pullet! I was looking forward to it being a Silkie!

Most silkie mixes will have solid feathers like this.

Hatchery quality silkies often look much different than show quality silkies because of their high demand. They have to breed for numbers-not looks unfortunately.

I vote Silkie Mixed with either Cochin or Sultan. My silkies all have black skin, feet, legs, and beak... and they all had puffy heads/necks since hatching.
