We tried hatching some eggs using a free incubator, and only one of the bantams actually made it. So to give him some company, we bought 8 mixed bantam chicks from a Dell's Farm Supply store. I think maybe I've got most of them partially figured out, but I'm not super confident in anything. They are 4 weeks old today.
Chicks #1 & 2 both look just like this - one's a bit smaller than the other, but otherwise identical. They are clearly barred something.

Chick #s 3 & 4 are also nearly identical. I'm really hoping they are female bantam white leghorns, but the other thing they look like to me is a white old English game. They have really long legs and are by far the fastest of all our chicks, despite being the littlest (at least in the beginning)

To the left of #3 & #4 you can see Ruffles (#5), who looks to me like some kind of brown frizzle cochin. I'm hoping there is some remote chance of her/him surviving all the rain we get here.

#6 I'm pretty confident is a golden sebright. I thought for sure female, but some serious crest growth happened over the last 24 hours.

#7 I think is a Columbian something, maybe rock? I'm not sure. No idea of gender either. I couldn't manage to get a good picture of the top of his/her head, but so far there is very little crest.

#8 I'm thinking is black cochin roo. Sorry it isn't the best picture of his crest.

In the background #9 is showing his crest - he's is the silver penciled rock we hatched. I'm guessing roo. He's 3.5 weeks old.
