mystery bird

I used to have white Orpingtons and the body type just doesn't fit. I think that it might be a meat bird too. But I don't know for sure.

The cornish cross chickens if that is what she is, don't live long from what I have read. You might research it to be sure. There is a meat birds etc. section of the forum that might be useful to you in that case.

i couldn't SEE enough of a difference in those two to know for sure either way...it's so hard to know without a reliable reference point just how big they all are. she sure LOOKS like a meaty thing, though!
 
i'm not sure if they have meat or eggs, just that they're usually penned up, and the rooster can't tell time. he usually starts in at about 3am, and doesn't stop 'til noon. the poor thing most be from a different time zone. chickens can't be smart enough to make a prison break, can they?

They are the very definition of Houdini. They can and will find any way to get out. And The rooster will crow early if they have a light on in the pen. Mine usually starts around 4am.
