Mystery Black chicks from RK - Hoover's Hatchery

I picked up these 2 little loves from my local Rural King, whom order from Hoover's Hatchery.

The guy that unloaded the boxes wasn't there when I came back to purchase after he was done. These 2 weren't labeled. The employee who sold them to me said they might be Black Sex Links, Marans, Jersey Giants, Australop, etc.

Honestly, I don't really care what they are, I like black/dark colored chickens but it is driving me nuts not knowing. (Ok, I like all chickens no matter the color, and most birds - expect the hawks that hang my yard!)

Best possible outcome they are a type of Marans. Love those dark eggs.

They are currently 6+ weeks old. Have clean legs, beak & legs are a mix of black/gray and yellow. They are both social and curious. Growing at the same rate as the California Tans & Production Blues that were purchased on the same day.

I will have to look tomorrow. I didn't even think to look!

I forgot to post they currently have a few white spots on their feathers, not sure if that will last or just part of puberty!

Black Jersey Giants was my #2 preferred choice. As long as they are alive chickens, I'm happy!

I was reading online... They are not crayon yellow that says Jersey Giant.
I'd guess 'pink' feet = Australop? Lighter than my skin.

I've had chickens for years and never knew bottom of feet could help identify breeds. Thanks for helping me learn things!

Out of nowhere, at least one of my mystery girls started having red leakage on her neck/chest.

Hoover's Black Sex Links are created from a Barred Rock hen and a Rhode Island Red cockerel. The pink feet doesn't seem to fit that breed.

Or Maybe featherless feet French Cooper Marans? They have the pink legs/feet. Is there something else from Hoover's I'm not thinking of?

I'm excited to see what they will look like grown. They have such beautiful black green feathers. I love them in the sunshine! Currently 9 weeks old.

*Bonus shot of the tufted/crested Mystic Onyx, I didn't realize they could have tufts. She is the only one out of the four MOs we got with a "Mohawk". But 4 of my littles have tufts (think the Olive Eggers are the other 3 or 2 could be Easter eggers, they look like Legbars?!).
