Mystery TSC Black Pullet Bin Special

As promised, here's some updated photos. While the camera picks it up as rust, to the natural eye, the color is buff/gold. It is all over her face, breast, back and laced through her wings. The black is ashy charcoal and dull. I am still at a loss frankly. A large, fast growing bird, if that helps.

I love her coloring..not sure what she may be...but she is going to be so pretty when all of her feathers come in! I can't wait to find out what she may be....

Could it be a Gold Laced Wyandotte or a black sex link?

looks like a mixed special i got, of later said to be mexican game hens, i once had and miss dearly. if it is, id keep it, as they were the hardiest, best foragers, and protected the rest of the flock from hawks, and loved to hunt out rodents and snakes in my garden and yard. never had any mosquitoes, fleas or ticks when i had the three hens.

We've had lots of "conventional" BSLs in the past, and these new mixes are soooo different. Just wondering what the hatchery (Mt Healthy??) actually calls these and what is their intent and what is the mix? So odd. A very tall, lanky, not particularly handsome chick. Have no idea what she'll look like in a month. I have 4 of them.

forgive me, as im not up yet on chicken lingo and abbreviations, but what is BSL? could be a production mix. either way would be pretty to me, as i like wild look more, but thats me, as i like the camouflage ones that are better at evading predators and foraging/free ranging. my mexicans didnt get any good color for a while either, but were really beautiful later, though mean when you tried to take eggs, or get one (the others would mob you to protect their friends). id describe them as mini ostriches. lol they came with a greenlegger banty sumatra, so so sad i didnt get to raise any babies from the mix, as father was so quiet friendly and watchful and always giving every scrape of food he could run around and scour up, to the hens, to the point i had to feed him at end of night to make sure he didnt just stuff them then be to tired or late to forage once the hens roosted/nested down for night.

they look like my black sex link (BSL) pullets did when they were growing up!
