Mystery Bobwhite Mutation

If, and only if, the bird seems otherwise healthy, breeding it to see if it's a genetic trait may be worth a try. Definitely no call for the kind of inbreeding you often see when an interesting mutation pops up in any domestic animal species, but I'm sure, if that's a mutation, it'd be possible to come up with healthy frizzle offspring without dangerous inbreeding.
Where did you get them? Are they genetically diverse, or have they possibly been inbred already?
