The beard didn't show up on the top bird even though it expressed fully on both of my F1 hybrids, but I've read stuff about incomplete dominance.

Yeah Wendy doesn’t have very large muffs or a beard.

I wonder if rose combs suppress it more than pea or single combs. (No wonder wattles in d'Anvers are so hard to breed out.)

Whatever he is, he is handsome. Looks like it could be Wyandotte cross or what they call splash color.
