Hi! I received a assorted mix of rare breed chicks 7 weeks ago. I wasn’t told what they are and have had fun identifying them, but one or two have us a little stumped.
One is either a Dominique or a Heritage Barred Rock. Any tips on which one she is?
The other is a complete mystery to me! Help! She is so super cool!

If the first has a single comb, it should be a rock. I know what the other is, I just can't remember the breed. I think it's called legbar, I may be wrong.
I am a mess this week, and can't remember certain things.
Cool looking birds though! I love rocks!

It looks like she does have a single. That’s what I’m leaning toward. I’ll look up legbars. That might be a good guess. I totally get not remembering. This week is amazingly stressful! Glad I have the girls as a distraction!

I agree, we need better pics. I'd guess #1 is a Cuckoo Marans, and #2 is a CCL or Olive Egger probably.

What hatchery did you order the assortment from?

For the first chick, if it has a rose comb, it is a dominique. If it has a single comb, it is a barred rock. But, in that pic the legs look pink, which would mean it's a cuckoo marans.
The second chick is a crested cream legbar.

I'm thinking your Barred chick is a Cuckoo Maran.

Heritage Plymouth Barred Rock chicks look like this, & take forever to feather out.
