Mystery chick?

This is my mystery chick from McMurry. I’m going to assume its a rooster, but I’m not sure if the breed.

The little bit of gold in the wing, suggests an EE. Also looks like a cockerel.

If it's spelled Ameraucana and has colors to choose from, it is likely a true Ameraucana. If it is Americana (sp diff.) then it is an EE. Most hatcheries misspell Ameraucana to sell their EE and confuse their customers. I find it an abhorrent practice, but they all do it. Some do have actual true Ameraucanas though.

Their EEs are listed under the name Ameraucana.

The only true Ameraucanas they have are the bantam variety.

Yes, & no for me.

I'm one that considers EEs as Pre - Ameraucanas due to their complicated history.
