Mystery Chicks-Update

Here's the most recent pictures of the two of them. Going on 10 weeks old. One has deeper reds/darker tail, and the other has more golden reds. Similar body shape and feathering... Might have to wait until they are laying to get an idea 😂

I have same and have no idea😑
Yours looks like a colored egg layer most likely.. Is that a little mohawk? My starlight green eggers have mohawks. My olive eggers have similar leg color as yours. Yours definitely has similar feather coloring to mine though!

I have a very similar looking pullet that came from the bin labeled Golden Comet Pullets at TSC. I think mine is what Hoover’s labels a Production Red on their website, some sort of Rhode Island Red cross bred for high egg production. Out of the same bin I also got 3 olive eggers that are a Welsummer/Legbar cross. All are very sweet and thriving so can’t complain.

I have a couple SGEs - two have white or mostly white wings and tail with red/white feathers on the neck and head. The other two SGE look like welsummer/something crosses. Sounds like you got the welsummer/cream crested legbar cross version of the SGEs.
One looks like the one you are describing that you have and the other looks like this. (One looking at the camera with the mohawk) Those were the only 2 crosses they had available.

Cute!!! I love that head poof and that color shading from red to grey (blue?) Wish mine had that. What I have so far is in the pictures. (not the black chicken) The white winged baby is starting to grow red feathers in around her neck so I expect she'll look similar to the 6-8 wk red and white chicken SGE already have. The last three pics are the same chicken (in front of an ISA brown in the last picture). I was trying to show my big one's white tailfeathers, but couldn't find a picture of that.

That one looked like a chipmunk chick to start and then developed those colors. The light colored one here is my other green egger! I adore their little mohawks.
