I ordered Surprise Special pulletts from Meyer on 1/30. They shipped 1/31 and arrived early this morning Feb 2nd. I am wondering how long it will take before I can solve the puzzle of what breeds they are. Some males were put in for warmth as well. So the mystery is also making sure I figure out who is male and who is female.

Sadly I won't find out what they were the majority of the order did not make it past 48/72 hours from arrival. I guess the mystery chicks will remain a mystery as to what breed. :(
 
There was no heat pack in the package :( I think that is what happened is the shipping at this time of year was just too much stress on them. :(
 
And you put them straight into the brooder at around 90 degree. Not trying to imply this is you first rodeo by any means. Just getting the fact of the case so to speak. I totally agree the should have had a heat pack for sure.
