I did ask the seller yesterday, but never got a reply. I'll see what it is when it hatches, but in the mean-time I would like to hear what other people think the egg might be.It could be a duck egg. I guess when it hatches you will know for sure.
Okay, so it could be a mix up then? I know accidents happen.A few years ago I sent some of my Single Comb Rhode Island Red eggs to a fellow. When the eggs hatched one turned out to be Rose Comb Rhode Island Red which I also have. I don't know how I accidentally put a Rose Comb egg in the box but somehow I did get one mixed in but I always send extra eggs.
It didn't look like a double yolker when I was checking air cells. It could be a double yolker if it's just really big. Hope this helps![]()
It looks very different, and I used one of my extra large eggs for comparison. I can use just a regular large egg if you'd like? What makes you think it's not a chicken egg? Looks to be the same size in the picture you posted. It's been years since we've had duck but I remember their eggs having kind of a waxy feel to them and elongated shape. Distinct from a chicken.
