mystery egg....duck or pullet

OK, so today i went outside and found a little white egg (the size of a smal store egg)in the pen with my 2 new ducks(both female) I was like A DUCK EGG, COOL!

But being the person i am wondered if an egg rolled outside the coop from one of my delaware blue's. Roll out the coop you say? Yes, and the way the coop is , it could have happened. The dig out underneath and it could have rolled out! I always thought duck eggs were larger than chickens so that's why i thought...Maybe??
I am gonna post pic's tomorrow of the egg next to some chicken eggs. It is the only white egg i have and my delawares are the only white egg layers other than my ducks.
Any imput would be great since i have never seen a duck egg before~

duck eggs usually feel sort of waxy compared to a chicken egg.

My duck eggs are slightly smaller than the chicken eggs (I have call ducks, though, and large breed chickens.) The duck eggs are usually more long than round, too. If you have a larger breed duck, it still might be a smaller egg if it's a pullet egg, though (you probably already knew that

If they (ducks) just started laying the eggs will start out small. If you compare a duck egg to a chicken egg you will notice how smooth the duck egg is--as the chicken egg is porous. Ducks will lay their eggs on the ground everywhere. Mine do go in the dog crate mostly. But once in a while it will be out on the ground.

good questions...LOL i don't know breed . They are from another member and she believed one is a sweedish and the other one?? She is the color of butterscotch though. They are smaller then my drake but i figured they were girls so they would be smaller. i will investigate their breeds and get pic's up!
