I've posted about this before, but I finally got around to adding a photo. I'm at a loss. I have 2 Pilgrim girls, one which laid 19 eggs (Hildegard), and the other who POSSIBLY laid one "pullet" egg (Heloise). The pullet egg appeared after Hildegard laid 10-12 eggs. Also, the pullet egg was NOT in the nest. Other than her first egg, Hildegard laid all of them in the nest.

If Heloise did lay this egg, she has laid none since then (over 2 weeks ago). Does this sometimes happen?

The picture below is one standard brown egg (one of my Rock hens), the "pullet egg", and one of Hildegard's Goose eggs. Since I have no chickens that lay white eggs, the middle egg has to be from one of the Geese.

I had the same thing happen to me ,the only chickens i have that lay white eggs is a few banties , i found 4 white eggs in one of my guinea nest in the woods, i set them to hatch to see what they are.

Weird things happen don't they..

Can you set it to hatch and see mabe see what it turns out to be?

Ps i have geese also but i know for a fact that these 4 eggs are not from them.

My goose (10 months old) has laid all kinds of eggs since it started laying in January. Most have been about 5 oz., in the nest and every second day, but once it laid 2 small shellless eggs (like chicken eggs sizewise) within just one hour. Those were not in the nest, and a few others likewise. The mini egg was also shellless.

There's also been a few "egg breaks" with no eggs at all for one or two weeks.

This is the size range:

BTW, the measure is centimeters.

crazy egg sizes have happened many times with our geese. We have a seb who has only layed 3 eggs so far and about 2 weeks apart. Her eggs are smaller than our Large Fowl White Faced Black Spanish eggs. UGH, we wanted more goslings, but looks like we are not going to get any.

I got an egg like that with my Sebastopol hatching eggs.
It indeed was an infertile double yolk egg.

Love the tiny little "egg" by the way, hehe!
