So I was sleeping for a back shift and got a phone call: thought I'd go check the chicks since I was up anyways. Low and behold half of the 13 chicks were outside the run foraging in the woods. I have no idea how they got out!! And our big rooster was out with them. Thankfully my son was able to help me round the little suckers up (they're incredibly fast). I have no idea how they got out. The lowest part of the fencing is 8ft and the rest of it is 10ft. The low part is attributed to there being a small hill in the middle of the run. Has this happened to anyone here? If so, were you able to figure out how they got out? If so please let me know. I'm worried to let them out now. After we got them in, the rooster was working the fence line. I was hoping he'd try it again but he didn't.
