Looks to be an EE or EE mix....... some of mine have very full and long feathered rumps...... however, it COULD be a slow maturing male...... There's some mixed signals coming from those feathers now that I see more pics. Time will tell

I'm not sure of her age but she was housed grouped in fours, two females and two males. The roosters were all the same age as she was and had very long combs and waddles while this one and the other one had these tiny ones...

Yes, she/he has feathers on her feet too.

I see red pointy sickle feathers!!!

Look at the right hand side of the photo:

When cockerels are housed with more dominant males...they can become stunted in growth because they are being chased by the other males. This could be what has happened with yours.

Hopefully I can swap out this one for a hen tomorrow from the people I bought him from. I can't have roosters. But, does anyone know about the breed???

I'm guesing EE and Cochin mix

Check the feathers from the area between the wings but closer to the tail..... are they pointy or rounded? I had 2 slow developing Ameraucana cockerels that had me fooled for a while..... the first signs that they were boys were these feathers.....

The ones on the ends were from pullets and the 3 in the middle cockerels

I switched him for a white leghorn pullet. I told the guy that everyone voted that it was a male so he let me switch the bird out. So that was very nice of him and I'm glad that now I'm back to all hens...I can't have roosters where I live.
