Hi all! So i have a male pekin who i believed to be niacin deficient as he seemed to have lame legs and was laying down a lot. I supplemented niacin with liquid b complex and while it did get better, it didnt completely go away. A few nice ladies on here thought perhaps he was getting too much calcium in his feed so i bought a new bag of feed but wanted to check for bumble just to check all my boxes. Both feet look pretty much the same however one is apparently sensitive to him and the other is not. Every time i touched the "pad" on this foot he flinched. I have attached a photo of each foot. The second pic is his sensitive foot. Anyone more experienced that i who may know or have any ideas??

His feet look pretty good to me. Any chance he’s broke a toe? Can you go down the leg and toes to see if one particular spot is more tender than the other? Any scab at all on the pad?
I touched his both of his feet and the only sensive spot was that back pad! No scab scratch or obvious injury.

I thought it looked a little shriveled too but couldn’t tell if it was the angle of the photo or not.
It does look more shriveled than the other one for sure. And slightly larger. But no obvious damage to it so thats why im confused! Wonder if a soak would help . Let me look again tomorrow to double verify.

Possibly he stepped on something and injured it? Soaks in warm Epsom salt water may help!
He free ranges outside during the day when the weather allows so its always possible. Its been like this a few weeks now i feel so bad and have been trying my best to figure it out! How long/how many times a day would i do an epsom salt soak?
