I hope in the next couple weeks I can get a new hot wire. The attack happened at twilight in the coop, feathers everywhere. I know a bear could not fit through the hen door but the accesses door was open as well as the door to the pen. Knowing there is a bear around solves another mystery. A few weeks ago I had left out a 1/4 bag of feed. The next day it was gone. I chalked it up as just one of those things. But make sense if it was carried off. So far the trash cans have not been touched.
