A friend sent this picture of a frequent visitor to her backyard. She cannot get any closer. Sorry, there are no closeup pictures forthcoming. This is not super important -- just curiosity. I can identify it as a chicken, probably female. Judging from the stuff next to her, her back is about 3 bricks tall.

Buff Orps don't have black tails.

In my opinion, the color looks similar to buff, but is more brownish, and the body type and tail shape look nothing like an orp.

I looked closer and ur right, the tails look different than my gal. I think it's an amerucana or an easter egger! I have one of those sweet girls at home as well!
