Mystic Onyx

I recently bought a Mystic Onyx chick and I was wondering what they are like. I would like to know their size, egg color, temperament, waddle color, etc.

I have one she's just under a year old. She lays light creme colored eggs and I think she is pretty skidding in comparison to my 2 other girls. She's bigger than my Rhode island red hen for comparison. She is a beautiful girl just kind of stand off-ish she likes to keep her distance.

I think my last year's were about 4 or 5 months. My ones from this year haven't started, but it's so hot here right now, I'm not surprised

I want to say between 5 and 6 months! Unfortunately mine passed a couple months ago I definitely miss her sass

Yes I have 2 Chicks that I believe are Mystic Onyx at first I thought they were Svart Hona but I was corrected, they are a great alternative mine are at least a month old!

I just picked up a couple of these chicks. It's odd to me I can't find any photos online of their eggs, just descriptions.

Mine seem to be a light tan. At least, most of my birds lay light tan, and I have yet to get an egg from their coop that stands out whenever my mystics are laying

My black mystic onyx chickens are absolutely gorgeous and have the sweetest personalities. They are friendly, loving, calm and gentle. They are a little more shy and gentle than all of the other breeds I have had but very friendly and loving. Also, there feathers feel much different than most chickens, they are SUPER soft and silky with an iridescent shine to them. Just beautiful.
